This sweet little candle holder is made using a Japanese technique called Kurinuki, which means to carve away at the clay.

All pottery is handmade therefore it can be quite fragile.
All glazes used on tableware are food safe. It is recommended that your pottery be hand washed.I do not recommend using a dishwasher on Earthenware items. If the item is stoneware, it should be safe for the dishwasher, but be aware that sudden temperature changes can strain ceramics.
