This sweet little candle holder is made using a Japanese technique called Kurinuki, which means to carve away at the clay.

Caring for your Ceramics:
All pottery is handmade therefore it can be quite fragile.
All glazes used on tableware are food safe. It is recommended that your pottery be hand washed.

I do not recommend using a dishwasher on Earthenware items. If the item is stoneware, it should be safe for the dishwasher, but be aware that sudden temperature changes can strain ceramics.
